Weekly Weight Loss Weeks 56 and 57

Over the last two weeks, I've lost two pound in total--a steady one pound each week. It's been a busy fortnight for me, which is why I missed out on posting last week's weight loss results (I did on Bubblews too). I know it shouldn't be an excuse but there are times that life just gets in the way. I've learnt a lot over the two weeks: mainly that I can have a busy life and still lose weight. I don't have to give into the cravings and do make healthy decisions, as long as they are in the house. It would have been really easy for me to give in and eat the sweets, chocolates and crisps in the house or order takeout every night but I decided to make good decisions. Here is the full post about my fortnight weight loss: http://www.bubblews.com/news/1673664-weekly-weight-loss-week-56-and-57 I hope you're weight loss is still on track. Mine is with three pound to go in three weeks. It's going to be a close one but I'm really excited. I can't beli

Things I Learnt About Weight Loss from Running a Business

Image
Running a business and weight loss have some similarities. If you’d have said that to me a few years ago, I’d have laughed at you. It’s only been since trying to do both that I’ve found a relationship between them. Don’t believe me? Well here are some of the things I’ve learnt about weight loss from running a business. It’s All About Perseverance Nothing happens overnight. Those “overnight successes” that you hear about on the news, haven’t been quick ones at all. It has taken those behind the business months, if not years, to get everything in place to suddenly become the most talked about company. Perseverance is key to running a business, especially a successful one, just like it is key to weight loss. If you’re not willing to put the effort in, you’re not going to get very far. Those quick fix diets just don’t work—at least not in the long term. You Need to Set Goals When I first started a business, my goal was to earn more than I would in a full

My Top Weight Loss Blogs That You Should Follow

People all over the world have proven that successful weight loss comes from being accountable. Blogging is just one way of doing that and there are some blogs that I love to read. They share the ups and downs. They offer tips to reads. Most of all, they inspire others to take up the challenge of losing weight and see it through to the end. These are my favourite weight loss blogs that I recommend following. The Running Blogger Between August and November of 2011, Emily knew that she needed to do something. She was inactive, overweight and just simply wasn’t happy with her life. She wasn’t a runner or a blogger but that soon changed with The Running Blogger . She was simply the victim of a hectic life, with three part-time jobs and a social life. Her blog details every journey of her success. There are ups and there are downs. She makes it clear that she is just a regular human being with a life. Authentically Emmie Emily (also known as Emmie) documented her wh

Have You Hit a Weight Loss Plateau? How to Get Over This Blip

Is your weight loss at a stand still? A weight loss plateau is when your weight stays the same for three weeks or more. There is often no rhyme or reason for it. Some people find it really easy to lose weight and will have the odd “stay the same” or gain here and there but others really struggle with plateaus. I’ve not had any plateaus this time round but in the past I’ve definitely hit a point where I’ve stopped losing weight. Recently, I’ve heard of a lot of people struggling to get past the point they’re at right now and wondering why they should both continuing. Don’t forget to look back at where you’ve come from for your reason why! Once you have that, you’re in the right spot to get over that weight loss plateau. Here are the tips I can give: Take Your Measurements Just because your weight is staying the same, doesn’t mean you are. Your whole body will be changing. A weight loss plateau can happen for all sorts of reasons and one of those is due to gr

Weekly Weight Loss Week 54 and 55

I'm sorry I missed last week's again. Over the last two weeks I've lost half a pound (lost one and a half last week but gained a pound this week). I detail it all here and here . For this week, the plan of attack is to stick to my points. If you've read week 55, you'll notice that it was a change of medication. I'm hoping my hormones and body have settled down and gotten used to them now. I am back to my normal weigh in on Tuesday next week, which will really help. I hope you're having better success and are closer to your goal.

When Is the Best Time to Stop Losing Weight?

Image
Is it about time you stopped losing weight? I’m never going to get to my ideal weight. In fact, the number that I think is ideal isn’t really that ideal. I would love to see the numbers 9st 7lb on the scales. For some reason, that has always stuck out at me as being my ideal weight. But it’s not and I’m never going to get there. I’ve made the decision to stop losing weight once I get to just under a stone heavier than that. I’m stopping once I get to 10st 6lbs. Why? Because it’s the best time for me to stop losing weight. Here are a few ways I came to this decision. Look Back at Old Photos and Be Honest I took a trip down memory lane. I looked back at photos when I was at around the 10st mark. Sure, my body has changed a bit over the last few years with having a baby but I came to the decision that 10st and anything under that made me look too thin. Yes you can look too thin! And just because your BMI tells you that you can go to a certain weight doesn’
