Eat It, Track It: The Problems of Not Tracking Your Food Intake

Image
At Weight Watchers, we have a wee saying: if you eat it, track it. It doesn’t matter what you eat, as long as you write it down and it is within your propoints allowance. While not everyone follows Weight Watchers, it is still important to track what you eat if you want to lose weight. You could follow Slimming World, Scottish Slimmers or even have a calorie-controlled diet. Whatever it is, you need to create a calorie deficit. Did you know that by not tracking, you’re more likely to eat 30%-50% more than you should? That’s the problem with not tracking. You eat too much. You Don’t Remember the Little Things If you don’t track everything you eat, it’s easy to forget. But it was just one biscuit, I hear you say. Well, what about if it was two biscuits, or one biscuit every day? That’s still extra calories/propoints that you’re eating. Do you really have the allowance for that extra biscuit or two that went untracked? Image: Pixabay You’re not p...

Getting Back on Track With Blogging About Weight Loss

I’ve really slacked off blogging about weight loss, haven’t I? All I can do right now is apologize. For those who don’t know, I recently became a Weight Watchers leader. That’s great! I love the job, but the problem is I’m lacking in time. Last month and this month has been hectic, but I just can’t let this blog die. I don’t want to let this blog die. I want to keep offering you tips on weight loss. I want to share my own journey and prove to you that Weight Watchers does work and that you can get to your weight loss goals. So, from now on I’m going to get back on track with things. Once a week, blogging about weight loss will resume. I’ll share posts on a Thursday, whether they’re recipes, tips, updates about something important...anything to do with weight loss. I am sorry I went a month without blogging about weight loss, but I am back. And I’m back with a passion! Catch you next week!

Get Back on Track After Time Off

Image
Image from Pixabay Recently I decided to take a month off Weight Watchers. I had a lot of things happening in my life and my weight had to take a back seat. Sometimes, personally, I think that’s just necessary. You want to be able to enjoy a holiday or you may just have so much happening that concentrating on your diet is just too hard. Now that that period is over, it’s time to get right back on the wagon. But after so long off it can be really difficult. Some long breaks can be long enough to get out of all the good habits that you got yourself into. So how do you do it? Go Right Back to the Start I’m pulling all my Weight Watchers books out today and going to get straight back to the start of the plan. It’s all about tracking and measuring and that’s what I’ll do. I didn’t make it to my meeting last night, so I’m going to weigh myself at home. It will at least give me a guideline of what I’ve gained in my time off. I’ll also take measurements because t...
