100 Day Challenge Day 29: Slightly Over While Watching Election Night

Image
Yesterday was Election Day in the UK. As usual, I stayed up for the exit polls and wanted to see a bit of the Alternate Election Coverage on Channel 4. I love The Last Leg! It wasn’t easy trying to stick within my points on the 100 Day Challenge last night, I’ll be honest. I didn’t quite plan for it. My husband decided to get packets of crisps for us to share, and I hadn’t exactly been an angel throughout the day. I’d left enough pro points for dinner and a small snack afterwards. In the end, I went over by two. So it wasn’t as bad as it could have been, but I should have thought ahead for it. This morning I’ve barely had a chance to eat. I’ve been covering the election for a writing site, and there’s been a lot to talk about. The good news is that being up since 6am means that I’ve already drank two bottles of water and a cup of tea. I’m half way into my 2ltrs. Oh and I drank all 2 yesterday. Today’s plan is to get some more activity in. I didn’t have time with my...

100 Day Challenge Day 28: Staying In Control on a Busy Day

Image
I mentioned yesterday on the 100 Day Challenge that Wednesday was going to be busy. I expected to eat the majority of my weekly pro points that I had left. In the end, I only went into a small amount of them. The whole way I did that was by staying in control and making good choices . That’s an important part of losing weight. Yes, I could have stuffed my face with chocolate because there were periods when I really wanted to, but I didn’t. I didn’t deprive myself either. When I wanted chocolate, I told myself that I would get it later (knowing that I’d have some later anyway).  It doesn’t have to be boring making good choices. Rather than having a bit of chocolate at the end of the night, I shared a punnet of strawberries with my husband and daughter. They gave me the sweet kick that I needed to finish off the day. They were juicier and more delicious than a bar of chocolate, too. While doing all that, I’m also drinking more water. I’ve even decided to start my day...

100 Day Challenge Day 27: A Hungry Day but In Control

Image
Tuesday I had a hungry day on the 100 Day Challenge. Sometimes I get them, and constantly want to eat. This isn’t just grab a snack or anything. These are the days where I want small meals constantly throughout the day. It’s something that I really love about Weight Watchers. I don’t need to feel guilty for eating or having a hungry day. I can have them and stay in control the whole time. I know I’d said yesterday that I wanted to stick within my daily pro points, but I was able to make the decision to go into my weekly pro points very slightly again. I finished the day on 32 pro points, so went another six into my weekly pro points allowance. That’s fine. I still have 23 weekly pro points left, and that is plenty for the next three days. Today I do plan on using a few more because it is one of those days—busy and will be eating dinner late so it won’t be the healthiest (but will still be in control). Thursday and Friday are going to be quieter days for me (for once), so I...

100 Day Challenge Day 26: Slightly Over But Still In Control

Image
I went a little over my daily pro points allowance yesterday in the 100 Day Challenge. That didn’t matter because I have my weekly pro points, and I actually made the decision to go over a little. I was enjoying the muffins that I made on Sunday. Sometimes we will make the choice to eat a little more, and there is nothing wrong with doing that on Weight Watchers. That’s what the weekly pro points allowance is there for. However, you need to keep tracking. If I didn’t track yesterday, I could have pretended that I still had the 34 weekly pro points left from the weekend. I don’t have that. I’m down by another 5 and now have just 29 weekly pro points left. That extra five may not seem like a lot now, but imagine if that happened every day. By Friday, I’d think I still have 25 weekly pro points left and it would lead to a weight gain on Saturday—possibly the week after if my body decided to delay it a little. So, this is why I always say that tracking is important. On...

100 Day Challenge Days 24 and 25: A Weekend of More Baking and Lack of Internet

Image
This weekend has been busy for me. Sometimes I have no idea where the time goes, and Sunday was definitely like that! I spent the whole day pretty much out of the house. When I was in, I was busy doing something! But that didn’t stop me from tracking my food! Not at all. After the 1lb weight loss on Saturday morning, I was more motivated to stay on track and make sure I continue with the 100 Day Challenge. And I did just that over the weekend. I’ve finished the weekend with 34 weekly pro points left. I’m happy with that as it is plenty for the next five days. And I fully plan on using them sparingly over the week. Today is when a few more will be eaten with the plan for dinner, but I know I can be good the rest of the week. My cover classes have finished this week, since I can’t do Thursday. With it being election day and as I’ve put off so many meetings lately, my Thursday quickly became packed with things to do. And I can’t put some of them off any longer. It’s a...
