Will Weekly Meal Plans Help With Weight Loss?

Image
When it comes to weight loss, many people will recommend meal plans. It’s something I had to recommend as a Weight Watchers leader, even though it was something I didn’t and never did do. We still don’t set meal plans in the house. We don’t quite plan our meals for weight loss We tried it once, but we just didn’t stick to the plan. That doesn’t mean we don’t plan ahead, but we don’t have a strict set of meals for the week. We’ll work off how we’re feeling and what’s happened in the day. Our way of planning is choosing in the morning what to eat for dinner. When my husband used to work, I’d pull out some meat and we’d work with that when he got home. There would be times that I’d decide as my day went on. If I finished work early, I could do the cooking. If I was still working when he walked in through the door, he’d be the one to choose. Now it works very differently with both of us inside the house all the time. We’ll discuss what we can have for dinner. We ar...

How to Use More Pro-Points Without Eating More

When you join Weight Watchers, you get a pro-points allowance. The more you weigh, the taller you are, the younger you are and if you’re male, you’re going to have a higher allowance. This can seem great at first, but then it comes to trying to eat all your allowance. Just how to do you do it, without having to eat too much? What do you do when you have pro-points left over and you’re just stuffed? It happens. It doesn’t mean it has to be a problem. Here are my top tips to manage this. Switch to Filling and Healthy Remember that Weight Watchers has a Filling and Healthy plan. Some members with higher pro-points allowances find that opting for this approach is better for them. You just have to eat until you’re comfortably full. The best part is you focus on foods that are not just filling and delicious, but they’re healthier for you. They’re full of the nutrients you need. I love the Filling and Healthy plan, and many members tell me it’s great for their Sun...

100 Day Challenge Days 24 and 25: A Weekend of More Baking and Lack of Internet

This weekend has been busy for me. Sometimes I have no idea where the time goes, and Sunday was definitely like that! I spent the whole day pretty much out of the house. When I was in, I was busy doing something! But that didn’t stop me from tracking my food! Not at all. After the 1lb weight loss on Saturday morning, I was more motivated to stay on track and make sure I continue with the 100 Day Challenge. And I did just that over the weekend. I’ve finished the weekend with 34 weekly pro points left. I’m happy with that as it is plenty for the next five days. And I fully plan on using them sparingly over the week. Today is when a few more will be eaten with the plan for dinner, but I know I can be good the rest of the week. My cover classes have finished this week, since I can’t do Thursday. With it being election day and as I’ve put off so many meetings lately, my Thursday quickly became packed with things to do. And I can’t put some of them off any longer. It’s a...
