My Maintenance Update: Losing Weight Is the Easy Part!

Image
I realised recently just how long it’s been since I’ve really given you an update about my weight loss. I don’t really have much to say, except that I’ve neglected the blog and you guys. I’m very sorry about that. Time has been minimal lately, and will be now that I’m becoming a Weight Watchers leader. The good thing about being a leader is that I’ll learn more and have things to share on a regular basis. But for now, I’ll share my weight maintenance update. I’ve got to admit, losing weight is the easy part. I know it doesn’t seem like it during your journey, but it really is! You have to get out of the mindset to lose, and be happy that the scales have stayed the same each week. And there is always going to be fluctuations. I went on holiday and game back half a stone heavier! I’ve been pulling it all back since then, and have lost five pounds of it so far. Image from Pixabay Recently I decided to take a month off Weight Watchers. I had a lot of things happening in my life and my weight had to take a back seat. Sometimes, personally, I think that’s just necessary. You want to be able to enjoy a holiday or you may just have so much happening that concentrating on your diet is just too hard. Go Right Back to the Start I’m pulling all my Weight Watchers books out today and going to get straight back to the start of the plan. It’s all about tracking and measuring and that’s what I’ll do. I didn’t make it to my meeting last night, so I’m going to weigh myself at home. It will at least give me a guideline of what I’ve gained in my time off. I’ll also take measurements because t...

Time to get over the holiday season and get back on track Do you feel like you’re still in a Christmas slump? You think the New Year is the perfect time to get back on track with dieting, but it’s so hard. The holiday dieting blues are definitely here. You’re so used to the overindulgence that you can’t stop yourself when it comes to those chocolates, candy, or naughty treats. I understand your pain and I was right there with you until the 4 th of the month. That was my turning point. If you’re still struggling, here are some tips to get back on track with weight loss and beat those holiday dieting blues. Weigh Yourself! Be honest with yourself and find out what damage has been done. If you keep telling yourself “one more week” or “I’ll do it tomorrow,” you will just keep eating poorly and do further damage to your weight loss. I got weighed on the 4 th January. I made a change to my weigh-in day (for various reasons) and decided that it was time to be ho...
