100 Day Challenge Day 40: There Could Be Better Days

Image
Yesterday wasn’t great on the 100 Day Challenge. Yes I tracked everything, which means I completed my personal challenge of the day, but I didn’t make the best choices. During the day wasn’t too bad; the problem came at dinner time. My husband suggested Chinese and we were going to pick one of the packs up from ASDA instead of ordering takeout. But the ASDA only had the Indian packs in stock, so that led to the only option of getting the takeaway. Well, we could have cooked something but by that point it was getting late and both of us just wanted a Chinese. Then it came to making poor decisions because of course I wanted sweet and sour pork balls. And they’re so high in pro points. I did just take the pork out of the batter (the batter was too greasy for me) but that wouldn’t completely take the pro points down, especially when the rice and sauce are added in. That is all my weekly pro points allowance. As I said, my day on the 100 Day Challenge is complete because I ...

100 Day Challenge Days 38 and 39: Getting Back on Track After a Bad Week

Image
The weekend has been about getting back on track after a bad week on the 100 Day Challenge. While I tracked everything, I went over by Friday night and that led to my weight gain on Saturday morning. It was my own fault, and as I already said on Saturday I take full responsibility. Getting back on track wasn’t too difficult. Once my mind is set on something, I can usually do it unless something breaks my control. Sunday it would have been easy to blow it all. I was grumpy and my husband decided he wanted us all to go for a walk—and our two-year-old doesn’t really like walking for long and tends to stand and glare at us if we don’t pick her up. Not that she gets to come up...eventually, she decides to start walking again but it makes the walk take (what seems like) forever. Needless to say with the rubbish weather, I wasn’t a happy bunny by the end of it. But I was a good bunny. We had the whole day planned out and I stuck to my daily and weekly pro points allowances. I...

100 Day Challenge Day 37: I Gained This Week and It’s My Own Fault

Image
When people come to the scales and find out they’ve gained weight, they tend to do one of two things. They either look at me and admit everything they did, or they try to pretend that there’s nothing different they tried and they just don’t know why it didn’t work. Chances are they did something that they’ve either forgotten or just don’t want to admit. It was weigh in day on the 100 Day Challenge, and I gained a pound. I wasn’t going to be the latter. I know exactly what I did wrong and to be honest was expecting a lot worse. You see, the week hasn’t been great. While I stayed just within my points, yesterday was an absolutely disaster. I started to feel rotten by the evening and when my husband called to suggest we pick up tonight’s dinner yesterday, I said I wanted some quick and easy for last night’s dinner and I just didn’t care what it was. We opted for the frozen pizza section to enjoy them while we watched a movie. The Weight Watchers diet was the last thing ...

100 Day Challenge Day 36: Back to a Good Pro Pointed Day

Image
Yesterday I was very good on the 100 Day Challenge. After a bad day and going way over on Wednesday, I forced myself to stick to my daily pro points allowance on Thursday. With having two classes to cover and lots of work plus Health Visitor appointments in the morning, it wasn’t that hard. Throughout the day, I made healthy choices and ended up with nine pro points left for dinner. For some that might not seem like enough, but it really was. My husband came home suggesting that we have a stir fry for dinner—just what I was thinking. I’m sure you can guess what the look on my face was like. We don’t buy stir fry packs from the supermarket. Instead, we use the peeler to get carrot and cucumber strips and then add other vegetables like peppers and onions in. The only thing that we use from the store is the stir fry sauce, but that is a Weight Watchers one that works out at zero pro points when all three of us (my daughter ate it too) eat it. The noodles and the turkey were ...

100 Day Challenge Day 35: Almost Way Overboard on Pro Points

I’m going to admit that yesterday I didn’t track properly. I’ve done it now—I’d taken photos of things to remind me—but it meant I didn’t make many great choices. I also went way overboard and am only just within my weekly pro points allowance. Yesterday was very busy. I didn’t sit down once, and felt it in my feet by the end of the day. It’s not an excuse, but a reason why I took photos instead of opening my Weight Watchers app. Photos are just quicker at times, and at least I remembered everything. I have to admit though that I’m not looking forward to the scales on Saturday. We all have these days and have to work around them. My 100 Day Challenge was to track religiously every day. It would have been so easy to just skip the day and pretend it didn’t happen, but I’d only end up cheating myself. There would be high chances that I’d end up eating the weekly pro points allowance again without realizing, because I wouldn’t realize that I only have 6 pro points left. I’m pr...
