Failing to Stick with Goals and Getting Back on Track

Image
I started my June challenge of tracking every day so well. I thought I'd be able to keep up with it and then I stopped tracking for a couple of days. I just couldn't get back into tracking after that. Did you know it takes 6 weeks to set a new habit? I've gone so long without tracking that I've fallen out of the habit and I'm finding it hard to get back into the habit of tracking. I'm finding it hard to stick to goals that I want to achieve. This is completely normal. I refuse to beat myself up for it. After all, my wants and needs over the last two months have changed considerably. I'm actually not following the Weight Watchers diet at all right now. But that doesn't mean I'm eating whatever I want. I'm actually still losing weight, but without Weight Watchers to do it. I'm sticking to smaller portions and a healthy diet. I've cut back on sugar and treats without really thinking about it. When I do snack, I opt for a handful of...

30 Day Weight Loss Challenge: What’s the Plan?

Image
The 30 Day Blogging Challenge is coming to this blog. For the whole of September I’ll share a post a day with tips, hints and strategies to help you lose weight. When it comes to both blogging and weight loss I always have a plan. I’m going to share that with you today, so you know what you can learn throughout the next 30 days and beyond. Really, I want to pull this blog back to what it was created for. It’s for you and me both. I want to support you on your weight loss journey, while I also take the steps to lose weight myself. For example, did you know that it will be four years this month since I started my last effort to lose weight? I got to go just over a year after and kept it off all the way up to my second pregnancy. In fact, I kept most of it off during that pregnancy. It’s been since January 2016 that I’ve really struggled. I’ve not exactly gained weight since giving birth but I have struggled to lose it. I’ve yo-yo’d. Something that I know so many of you...

Tips for Enjoying Your Coffee On a Diet

Image
Make losing weight and having a coffee easier to deal with Have you ever tried to enjoy a tea or coffee on a diet? Whether you have it at home or you go out with friends, it can seem like hell trying to make it fit into your weight loss plan. A tea or coffee break is always seen as the time to have a treat—usually a biscuit or two (or the whole packet!) or a cake. It is possible to enjoy your coffee on a diet. Yes, honest! Here are a few tricks so your coffee break is still weight loss friendly. Only Take the Number of Snacks Allowed for the Day If it’s at work, limit yourself to only taking the amount of snacks you are allowed for the day. If you want others, take healthy ones with you. Vegetable sticks with a hummus dip or a handful of nuts are so much better than biscuits or cake. Are the snacks readily available in the workplace? Keep them out of reach. You’re less likely to get up for another snack (and be seen doing it) than if they were just in reach...

Image
Jenny Craig is a popular weight loss program. I haven’t tried it but I know people who have and have had positive experiences with it. Of course, it’s worth noting before getting into this Jenny Craig review that everyone is different. I follow Weight Watchers because I know it works for me but that doesn’t mean it will be successful for you. Don’t know how Jenny Craig works? Here is a comprehensive Jenny Craig review to help you determine if it is right for you. This review not only covers the weight loss plan and how good it is but whether it is the most cost effective method. All Your Meals Planned for You One of the biggest benefits that people find with Jenny Craig is that you don’t have to do much in the way of making choices. For your monthly fee of £308, you receive all your meals through the post. The only things you have to buy on top of that is fruit and vegetables. By eliminating the choice, there is less risk of going off the plan. You can still go out and...
